This years BRC Area 6, Festival of The Horse Qualifiers are being held on Sunday 3rd October at Rosehill Equestrian, Henley-on-Thames.  www.rosehillequestrian.co.uk

The Festival of The Horse Qualifiers are run as an Eventers Challenge which includes a course of both show jumps and cross-country fences.  First you will jump a course of 7-10 show jumps and will then immediately continue onto the cross-country course and negotiate 12-15 cross country fences.

All classes will be judged against an optimum time for the SJ round and the XC round (there will be a separate optimum time for both).  The winner will be the team or individual competitor with the fewest amount of jumping faults closest to the optimum time.

Details of the classes are as follows:

Class 2  BRC Festival of the Horse Challenge. Junior & Senior Novice Teams Qualifier

Show jumping phase of 7-10 fences immediately followed by a cross-country phase of 12-15 fences. Maximum height approx 0.85m. Open to Individuals and Teams from affiliated Riding Clubs in Area 6.

Class 4 BRC Festival of the Horse Challenge. Novice Pairs Qualifier

Show jumping phase of 7-10 fences immediately followed by a cross-country phase of 12-15 fences. Max height approx 0.85m. Open to Pairs from affiliated Riding Clubs in Area 6.

Class 6 BRC Festival of the Horse Challenge. Junior & Senior Open Teams Qualifier

Show jumping phase of 7-10 fences immediately followed by a cross-country phase of 12-15 fences. Max height approx 1m. Open to Teams and Individuals from affiliated Riding Clubs in Area 6.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT VACCINATION CERTIFICATES WILL BE CHECKED AT THIS EVENT AND WILL NEED TO COMPLY WITH BRC RULES. 

PLEASE CHECK YOUR VACCINATION CERTIFICATE IS COMPLIANT PRIOR TO CONTACTING ME.

Finals for the Festival of The Horse will be held at Aston-Le-Walls on the 4th-5th June 2011.  TVRC had great success last time in sending both a Novice Team and a Novice Pairs to the finals earlier on this year.  If you would like to be in a team for the qualifiers please email melwiddows@yahoo.co.uk with details of yourself, your horse, and which height you would like to compete at.   Entries Close on Monday 27th September so please register your interest ASAP.
