I joined TVRC in Feb this year with the huge hope of meeting a bunch of friendly people who would be sympathetic to my mission of taking my over excited youngster out and about until he got bored of it and stopped overreacting to the mear sniff of an outing!!! Blue and I have been out pretty much every weekend since to a different venue and different instructors, jumping, dressage and flat clinics, indoors, outdoors rain and shine. What can I say................? I am now getting a well balanced horse who no longer gets off the lorry with his eyes on stalks ready to leg it at the drop of a blade of straw!!!

I just wanted to write something to say thank you to all those who have shared my lessons for putting up with a horse built like a tank napping towards them at wharp factor five!!

Thanks also to Liza, Lucy, Richard, Hayley and Douglas, who have taught Blue and I recently, for all of your advice and help. This weekend Blue and I had a lesson with Douglas, he was very helpful and my plan of getting Blue out to a different place every week is certainly paying off!! He behaved like an old pro, took it all in his stride which meant we didn't embarrass ourselves too much at Douglas' immaculate yard!

We have now got some homework to be getting on with, including improving Blues trot to a 16.3hh trot from his 15hh shuffle that he tends to do at the moment, thanks to me "riding with the hand brake on" as Douglas called it!!!

Thanks TVRC for organising so many great lessons and opportunities for outings! And to those out there who are wondering how to fill their weekends and whether to join a riding club.................... I really can recomend TVRC, they are a really friendly bunch (and no I am not on commission!!) Roll on those summer shows!!
